Write a paragraph about the topic of GENDER AND IDENTITY, using SP# 3 (10th grade). CAPITALIZE THE PATTERN. You may write about the stories, the poem, or the article.

Use FIVE vocab words and write a paragraph with DRUGS AND ALCOHOL AWARENESS as the topic.

Oct 19

We did a focused free-write to start the block. Next, we did a bell ringer. Afterwards, we moved into groups of 3-4 to discuss the bellringer, #2 on page 333, and the story through the criticisms of Feminist and Psychoanalytical. Homework is to complete vocab sentences.

Oct 15

On Monday, we took the Unit 6 vocab quiz and discussed the RP more. Tuesday and Wednesday were both spent at the library. Today, we did a bell ringer to review units 1-3. We did a short review of all six units, then took the quiz. For Monday, read "A Respectable Woman" by Chopin.

We discussed the end of the poem "If I could" and then discussed "The Possessive." We wrote our synonyms for Unit 6. We also BRIEFLY discussed the research paper. Homework: vocab sentences with two sp#6 (1oth grade #2). We go to the library on Thursday and Friday!
